I love teaching!!!

I love my job, I really do!  I enjoy coming to work and teaching to my students everyday.  You never know what might happen in my classes, and the "that's what she said," never gets old, at least to me it doesn't!

This is how I see teaching:
1. You can learn and have fun at the same time.
2. You can get to know your students.  (Students are people too!)
3. You can learn from them.
4. You can join them or fight them.  (It is OK to text in my classes)
5. You can inspire them.
6. You can teach them more than what the book says.
7. You can open their mind to new things.
8. You can see them change
9. You can see them grow.
10. You can influence who they are going to be

I care about my students, I care if they are learning, I care if they are OK and I care to make a difference.  One by one, some may learn just psychology but hopefully many will learn much more. I teach more than just psychology!

  3. Your class is my favorite of the semester. You encourage discussions but allow the texting responses which is a fresh idea for classes. I think more teachers would get a better response if they would allow that. Your class is just all around entertaining, eye opening, and educational at the same time, you should feel accomplished because not all teachers can pull that off! Hope to get to take future classes with you and I'm looking forward to more blog posts!

  4. Your class is ok, but perhaps the lightheartedness of the classroom is lost on me

    1. Hey Alan,
thanks for posting, and who know maybe one of this days the lightheartedness will find you. :)

  5. You say your class is easy, and perhaps it is for normal, functioning people. I, however, struggle with basic social interaction (due to crippling shyness, which is why I never say anything), so I struggle day to day. I absolutely despise it... but I've accepted who I am, and realize I cannot change who I am at the core.

  6. Hey Alan, you would be surprised with how many students are shy like you. You are normal, even when you feel that you are not. I am sure that there are so much more to you than your shyness. Keep on going, put your head up and keep on going!

I attached a video that you make like it. It is very interesting, and it is about introverts and the power that they have.
